Google Apps Setup Guide

Google Apps Setup Guide
There are three different stages for the registration process as an Voog user:
  • Sign up for G Suite
  • Verify your domain ownership
  • Add user accounts

Sign up for G Suite

In order to register an account, go to https://www.google.com/work/apps/business and click on the button Get Started.

The first step is to enter your details, such as name, e-mail address and telephone number. Then click on Next.

Next step is to enter your organization's domain. Click on the Yes, I have one I can use option and enter the domain name of your organization into the field (e.g. mycompany.com). Then click on Next. Tick the newsletter options if you'd like it.
You are then asked to create an administrative G Suite account. This user will be able to edit all the information regarding your account. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions and your account with a free 14-day G Suite trial will be created.

Verifying domain ownership

Google Apps wants to make sure that domain you have entered belongs to you. In order to verify it, you have to show that you are able to edit the settings of your domain.

After the successful sign up, you will be directed to your Google Admin Console. From the menu, select Start Setup, by which the admin control panel will be displayed. From there, choose Verify Domain.

If your domain has been registered at a popular registrant (for example GoDaddy) then Google will ask you to confirm this. Just click Yes, take me to "your hosting company" and you'll be able to verify this quickly.

In case you have registered your domain at Voog, select Other from the domain hosts listing, and then finish it by clicking Begin verification.

On the next screen, you should choose Alternate methods.

From the three possible options, click on HTML file upload. From the content displayed to you, find the line that says 'Download this HTML verification file' and copy the text between brackets (e.g something like that google34fb6c44f9997e87.html):
Now please log in to your Voog site. Go to Content > SEO and paste the code into the field of Google Search Console.

Click the saving icon and go back to your Google Apps view of verifying domain ownership and click Verify. Your Google Apps account is now ready to use.

When you bought your domain from Voog, then you have to make one more step in order to get your e-mails working. See more about setting up your e-mail service here.

In case you haven't bought your domain from Voog, simply make sure that you have the necessary MX-records added to the DNS-zone at your domain host. Feel free to ask help from their support team.

Additional Methods for Verifying Domain Ownership

You can also use DNS-based verifying method - this method is useful when the file-based verifying method has failed for some reason. In order to verify your domain, choose Recommended methods. For the domain name provider please select Other. This option opens a text area, where you are given a code that looks something like this:

google-site-verification=kGspa5CnUIxonkjnoGeLbanvPzoZ1mPo8ltNaZo0y9U

Please send this code along with your domain name to support@voog.com.

When we have received your e-mail and made the necessary changes and replied to you, then click on Verify
